Sea Shells, Shoes And Flowers Too

Second installment of my little project, I'm getting quite fond of my little sketch pad!
Still a few duds in there, but I'm counting them as a reflection of my mood on that day, so they still tell a story!
Also I'm trying to stay away from drawing
faces as that seems to be my default setting.

Dreaded Lists!

Inspired by the talented Ambika, who was in turn inspired
by Mighty Girl, I decided to succumb to the dreaded list ...
I'll come clean: I make lists, all sort of lists, dream lists,
shopping lists, diy lists, I'm qualified at list making,
rather excellent, even! I sometimes go to the
trouble of decorating my lists ... my only problem is actually
executing those lists ...because of this I decided to start small,
so here comes 43 Things, publishing the
list makes it more

substantial, now it is
out there for all [or nobody] to read, not just
ignored and tossed in a drawer like
usually happens!

Ambient Country

My dear friend Silvia came on a flying visit
from Italy. We decided to head out to Bundoran in the North West of Ireland for two days,
both of us looking for empty beaches and waves ...
Lucky us, Bundoran was very quiet. I was told
that it can get quite bustling during the week-end and in
the summer when families from Northern Ireland descend
on the town for their holidays.

We stayed at the Turf'n'Surf lodge, our room was comfy, if basic.
I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic getaway, it is a surfer's B&B after all,
but the rooms where clean, the shower super hot, just the way I like it,
and my bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had the
pleasure to sleep on. Add to this the ocean view from our window
and a relaxed atmosphere and you're on to
a winner!
The guy in reception [Sorry! Forgot his name!] was
lovely, very helpful and the most chilled out
dude I've ever came across, I suppose looking
at the ocean outside your office window would do that to you!

I fell in love with this house!

Sherbet colours on a wall

We spent the days walking on the soft sandy beaches
trying to keep warm and not too look so much out
of place amongst the surfers practicing
in the Atlantic Ocean... needless to say we didn't quite succeed, wrapping
up in our warm scarves and jackets at the first sign of wind!

Saturday Thrifting

Fabulously pink dress thrifted at
Toe Jam Car Boot Sale

Grey cardi-top found at Oxfam on George's Street,
Dublin ... I like it so much I got one in black and a stripy green one
too!

Another grey top!

What sold me on this top was the lovely cut out details

Yet more grey! This I got to wear around the house.

As you can see yesterday was a very fruitful thrifting day!
I'm afraid my post on Project 94 will have to wait a few more
days ... I'm off to the sea side tomorrow!

Saturday Strolling

The first day of my holiday ... yuppy!!! Couldn't wait for
it to arrive! I woke up and it was sunny so I took a stroll
into town ...

Old door in a house around the corner
from my home ... love the peeling
paint!

Contrasting pillars and beautiful shade of blue on a pub wall

Lovely textures on this door, love the
shade of green

Yes ... we all are, aren't we?
And if you don't think so, trust me, you are!

Yes! Car Boot Sales in Dublin ... keep them coming!
This particular one is in the car park on The Bernard Shaw Pub,
during the summer its held once a month
for more information on the exact date consult
the Bodytonic website,
I bought a lovely frilly pink dress and then went on my way, but I shall be
back for a pint and falafel next time around!
Pictures of my second hand finds will have to wait till tomorrow, when I will post

94 Drawings In 94 Days ... A Project

I started this little project because, yet again, I bought a little sketch pad ...
I just can't help myself, I love stationary! The problem is that I tend to start
a new pad and two or three pages later it lays abandoned ... so here starts the
"94 drawings in 94 days" project, so named beacause I ripped 2 pages
out of the sketch pad and only 94 remains, simple!
The drawings are just sketches and small ideas, I can't rip any
page out so even the duds have to stay!
I started this project on the 2nd of May
what follows are the first week of drawings:

I think it is really cute!

I will try and post the other drawing as I do them
I'm really enjoying this small project and
will give myself others to do in
the future!

Dreaming Of Summer Dresses

...it's getting hot around here! Again I am dreaming of summer dresses and lazing around in a park with nothing much to do
... but instead have to work and keep my fingers crossed that this wonderful weather we are having will hold out till the week end ... this is Ireland after all, you never know!
Are you dreaming of summer dresses too?

Trees Made Of Words

Ecotonoha a site where you can write a leaf ... you can send a friend your leaf as a greeting card or simply leave a message on the tree, not only virtual trees are planted at Ecotonoha, for every 500 leaves a real tree will be planted on Kangaroo Island, Australia; this location has been chosen for its suitability, the climate condition and soil are ideal for growing trees, such as eucalyptus, so do a good thing for the environment ( and for Koala Bears, come to think of it!) and get writing!
